Recent Projects: Johnny Tequilas, Minneapolis

Think route 66 meets an old Mexican cantina. That's what the clients asked for when I consulted them on their new bar concept in the Warehouse district of Mpls. Johnny Tequila's.  I took a virtually plain canvas of a large room and totally transformed the space into an old cantina! Complete with aged, antiqued wood, rusted pillars, cracked paint and distressed tables and bar stools. Church pews for seating were stained and sanded to look the part. Old roadside memorabilia fills the walls and seating nooks. Old neon and roughed up picnic tables mixed in with comfortable seating areas reside next to pool tables and a dance floor with aged DJ booth give patrons plenty to do while slamming Tequila shots and scarfing down serious tacos! My favorite new place in the district!
